The BG-1400 is constructed with two very overwound coils on top of one another that both hand out its thick tone and stay quiet when youÕre playing on stage, in the studio, or at home. Alnico 5 magnets are used for added pick attack presence.
It was designed to be a replica of the fat Tele pickup being used by Billy Gibbons on ZZ Top's recent tour and is a noiseless stacked humbucker with Tele twang. The tone is slightly more compressed and definitely ballsier than vintage Tele bridge pickups. The balance from string to string is very even.
